It’s going to be short and it’s going to be busy.
The Flyers’ 2026 training camp will start on Thursday, Sept. 17 and last only about 12 days, which makes for a much shorter (and possibly more intense) camp.
The camp training sessions will take at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, N.J., according to general manager Daniel Briere.
A total of 46 players are scheduled to attend the team’s main training camp – 26 forwards, 16 defensemen and four goaltenders. The players will be sorted into three teams for practice days, which will feature both on-ice and off-ice sessions. On Saturday, Sept. 19 two of the teams will scrimmage which will be streamed online at philadelphiaflyers.com.
On Monday, Sept. 21, the Flyers will begin their 2026 preseason schedule with a game against the Washington Capitals at 7:00 p.m. at GIANT Center in Hershey, while opening up at Xfinity Mobile Arena for the first time this preseason on Thursday, Sept. 24 vs. Boston Bruins at 7:00 p.m.
The Flyers’ regular season opens on Sept. 30 with a home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
