The Flyers’ Garnet Hathaway, a native of Florida, is headed home.
Philadelphia made a trade with the Florida Panthers on Thursday, sending the veteran right wing south along with a sixth-round pick in this weekend’s NHL Draft in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the upcoming draft and a fourth-rounder in 2027.
The moves were announced by Flyers general manager Daniel Briere.
Hathaway, 34, spent three seasons with the Flyers, recording 18 goals/41 points in 215 games with the team. He has one more season left on his NHL contract which pays $1.2 million.
The Flyers’ new selection order for the 2026 NHL Draft:
>Round 1 (21st overall)
>Round 2 (53rd overall)
>Round 5 (136th overall)
>Round 7 (213th overall)
For his career, Hathaway has played 11 NHL seasons with the Flyers, Boston, Washington and Calgary, accumulating 76 goals/163 points in 672 games.
