VOORHEES — They might compete in different sports but they share a common interest in performing magic on the ice.
At the age of 12, national-class figure skater Isabeau Levito of Mt. Laurel already has a strong following.
In turn, she’s a big fan of Flyers goaltender Carter Hart.
The two finally met after the Flyers’ practice at the Skate Zone on Friday.
Levito stopped by to watch the team’s midday workout, then visited the Philadelphia locker room to say hi to Hart and receive a customized Flyers jersey with her name on the back.
Training out of the Igloo Ice Rink in Mt. Laurel, Levito is already a two-time medalist at the U.S. Championships, winning gold at the juvenile level in 2018 and silver at the intermediate level in 2019.
Most recently she won a silver medal at the junior level at the 2020 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships last month in Greensboro, N.C.
Although she won silver at the junior level, she must wait until she turns 13 to represent the U.S. at the junior level Grand Prix and junior World Championships.
The 2026 Olympic prospect is coached by Yulia Kuznetsova and her husband Vyachesav (Slava) Kuznetsov.
