Lindblom receives warm ovation at Wells Fargo Center

Oskar Lindblom.

He might be in the fight of his life but he certainly isn’t letting the battle affect his public persona.

On Saturday night, the Flyers’ Oskar Lindblom was in attendance for the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

During a timeout in play, Lindblom was shown on camera (by way of the scoreboard) and was given a rousing ovation by the Wells Fargo Center audience.

Lindblom is expected to miss the rest of the season as he undergoes treatment for a rare form of bone cancer.

Not only the Flyers but teams around the NHL have been seen wearing #23 OskarStrong shirts.

Lindblom is one of the more popular players on the team and news of his illness hit the players hard.

But they have rallied to his side in support of his courageous stand.

One can only hope he fully recovers and is back playing hockey again soon.
