Hart: A new celebrity in Philly but an established one in Canada

Carter Hart

Hart-mania is sweeping Philadelphia these days but it’s certainly not a unique phenomenon.
Just ask any hockey fan from Canada.
Carter Hart became a household name north of the border some two years ago when he began a run of leading Canada to a pair of World Junior Championships medals (gold and silver).
This year, the 20-year-old Hart started to emerge on the Philadelphia sports scene when he was called up to fill in for the injured Brian Elliott and later Michal Neuvirth.
On Saturday night, Hart led the Flyers to a 5-2 win over the Canadiens in Montreal, capping a week in which he went 3-0.
Even when Elliott and Neuvirth return from injury, it looks like Hart will be staying with the Flyers.
It’s a sure bet Hart will be a celebrity in Philadelphia for some time to come.
