Busy Flyers still find time for worthy causes

Flyers' Ivan Provorov, Brandon Manning and Shayne Gostisbehere met with fans for worthy cause at Oxford Valley Mall on Friday

They might be in the middle of an intense chase for the playoffs but the Flyers always find time to give time to worthy causes.

And so it was on Friday, when Shayne Gostisbehere, Ivan Provorov and Brandon Manning showed up at Dynasty Sports in the Oxford Valley Mall, Langhorne, Pa. for a guest appearance.

All proceeds were donated to each player’s respective charity endeavors.

Gostisbehere raised funds through his GhostBear Foundation (GBF) in honor of the terrible tragedy which took place at his former high school in Parkland, Florida. GBF will be donating all proceeds to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund.

This is particularly timely because of the national anti-gun rallies involving young Americans which took place Saturday all across the United States.

Provorov also contributed to The GhostBear Foundation to support the MSD Victims’ Fund.

Manning is donating to the Temple Burn Center in Philadelphia. He has an on-going relationship with TBC, which includes various on-site visits.

Brandon’s passion to be involved is due to his father being a firefighter back home in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.

Fans in attendance purchased GhostBear Foundation and Mandog merchandise, with proceeds from sales set to benefit each individual cause.
