Flyers to open 2025-26 season at Stanley Cup champion Florida on Oct. 9

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today their full 2025-26 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season schedule. 

The Flyers will open their 58th season of play on the road, Thursday, Oct. 9, at the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers, which marks the third consecutive year Philadelphia will start their season on the road. 

The Flyers will play their first home game of the season on Monday, Oct. 13 against Florida, making it the fifth time the team has hosted Florida in their home opener. The Flyers own a 3-1-0 record against the Panthers in home openers. Additionally, this will mark the sixth time the Flyers have opened their season against a defending Stanley Cup Champion.
