Porter Martone

>ROUND 1 (6th overall): Porter Martone, 18, RW, 6-foot-3, 208 pounds, Brampton (OHL).

Flyers like his size, speed, skill. Physical, hard to get away from the net, great hands in close.

>ROUND 1 (12th overall): Jack Nesbitt, 18, C, 6-foot-4, 185 pounds, Windsor (OHL).

Went from nine goals in the 2023-24 season to 25 this past year. Plays a strong two-way game.

>ROUND 2 (36th overall): Carter Amico, 19, D, 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, (U.S. National Development Team).

Uses size advantage to enhance his game.

>ROUND 2 (40th overall): Jack Murtagh, 17, LW, 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, USA U-18 (NTDP).

Headed to Boston University. Tied for team lead in game-winning goals.

>ROUND 2 (48th overall): Shane Vansaghi, 18, RW, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Michigan State (Big Ten).

Started freshman year as 17-year-old. Says one scout: “Bull in a china shop.”

>Round 2 (57th overall): Matthew Gard, 18, C, 6-foot-4, 193 pounds, Red Deer (WHL).

Led Red Deer in scoring. Straight-line skater. Excellent work habits.

>ROUND 5 (132nd overall): Max Westergard, 17, LW, 5-foot-10, 158 pounds, Frolunda (SweHL).

Played meaningful minutes in the SHL playoffs and more than held his own.

>ROUND 5 (157th overall): Luke Vlooswyk, 18, D, 6-foot-5, 200 pounds. Red Deer (WHL).

Central Scouting has him ranked 72nd for North American skaters. Uses his reach and mobility to stop opposing forwards.

>ROUND 6 (164th overall): Nathan Quinn, 17, C, 5-foot-11, 173 pounds, Quebec (QMJHL).

Does some of his best work without the puck. Strong forechecker. Skates his routes at full speed.
