Flyers sign Hathaway to two-year contract

Add one more name to the Flyers’ list of free-agent signings.

Late Saturday night, the Flyers inked forward Garnet Hathaway to a two-year, $4.75-million contract.

Hathaway, 31, has played for Calgary, Washington and Boston in the NHL.

In 457 NHL games, he has registered 58 goals/122 points and 490 penalty minutes.

The 6-3, 208-pound native of Maine played for the Bruins in last season’s Stanley Cup playoff series against Florida.

He spent the majority of the season with the Caps, playing 59 games and registering nine goals/16 points.
