Flyers shut out by Bruins, 4-0

Felix Sandstrom

While four preseason games might not seem like a big deal when gauging the Flyers’ offense so far, there might be a few red flags being raised by the meager output.

After getting shut out by the Bruins, 4-0, in Boston on Saturday afternoon, the Flyers have registered a grand total of just four goals.

To make matters worse in the game at TD Garden, Flyers goaltender Felix Sandstrom had to leave after one period due to a lower-body injury.

The Flyers, now 1-3 in the preseason, went to Troy Grosenick to relieve Sandstrom.

Grosenick stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced.

For Boston, goaltender Linus Ullmark recorded the shutout.

Marc McLaughlin and John Beecher each scored twice for the Bruins.

Philadelphia continued to struggle on the power play, going scoreless in four attempts.

The Flyers return to action on Sunday night when they travel to UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. to play the New York Islanders.
