Hunter McDonald

>Round 1 (5th overall): Cutter Gauthier, C, 6-foot-3, 189 pounds, USA U18 NTDP. Projects as a potential third-line center upon completion of at least one year of competition at Boston College.

>Round 2: No selection.

>Round 3 (69th overall): Devin Kaplan, RW, 6-foot-2, 199 pounds, U.S. National Development Team, USHL. The Bridgewater, N.J. native will be playing for Boston University this fall. He believes he can be NHL-ready in a couple years.

>Round 4: No selection (traded to Carolina in the Tony DeAngelo deal).

>Round 5 (133rd overall): Alex Bump, LW, 6-foot-0, 195 pounds, Omaha Lancers, USHL. Bump says he had no idea the Flyers were scouting him. It looks like he will play at least one more year with Omaha.

>Round 6: (165th overall): Hunter McDonald, D, 6-foot-4, 207 pounds, Chicago Steel, USHL. Big, physical backliner who likes to mix it up.

>Round 7: (197th overall): Santeri Sulki, C, 6-foot-4, 194 pounds, Jokerit, Finland. Ranked No. 54 European skater by NHL Central Scouting.

>Round 7: (220th overall): Alexis Gendron, RW, 5-foot-9, 175 pounds, Blainville-Boisbrand Armada. “It’s a great day,’’ Gendron said. “Probably the greatest day of my life.’’
