Flyers spread holiday cheer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Sean Couturier shares a "selfie'' with a young patient at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Wednesday.

What better way to bring some positive holiday spirit to ailing kids at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia than a visit from a professional sports team?

That’s what some of the Flyers provided on Wednesday when they visited CHOP.

Players such as Sean Couturier and Wayne Simmonds were on hand to meet and talk with the children, who show courage every day of their lives.

The smiles on the faces tell the whole story.

The Flyers make it a point to interact with the Philadelphia community — be it young or old — whenever they can.

It’s the perfect time of year for the Flyers to show that they care.

And who knows? After a session like this, a whole new generation of Flyers fans may have started.
